Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina – the newest luxury private-island resort in the British Virgin Islands – has been voted among the Top Resorts in the Caribbean in the Condé Nast Traveler2016 Readers’ Choice Awards. The resort has also earned the 2016 Certificate of Excellence by leading travel ratings and reviews website, TripAdvisor.
In Condé Nast Traveler’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards, the full-service Scrub Island Resort was ranked No. 48 among 60 of the Caribbean’s most elite four- and five-star properties. The resort was one of just five from the British Virgin Islands to make the top 60, finishing ahead of Rosewood Little Dix Bay (No. 52) and Peter Island Resort & Spa (No. 58).
Now in its sixth year, the Certificate of Excellence Award by TripAdvisor recognizes outstanding hospitality businesses that have maintained a consistent overall rating of four out of five or higher on TripAdvisor.com. The award also takes into consideration a business’s tenure on the site, Popularity Index ranking and overall volume of reviews within the last 12 months.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by our loyal guests in such a prestigious travel publication and esteemed review site,” said Federico Ciampi, resort manager for Scrub Island. “These awards reflect the high priority we place on delivering an exceptional experience for our guests.”
Scrub Island has also been honored with numerous awards in recent years, including 500 World’s Best Hotels for 2015 by Travel + Leisure, World’s Dreamiest Private Island Resorts by both Huffington Post and Condé Nast Traveler, Best Romantic Getaways in the Caribbean by USA Today and the Four Diamond Rating by AAA. The resort was inducted into the 2015 Hall of Fame for Excellence by TripAdvisor.
